Midnight Sun Mining Corp. (TSXV: MMA | OTCQX: MDNGF) has further expanded its Dumbwa copper deposit in Zambia, with drilling now confirming 6.7 kilometres of near-surface copper mineralisation along strike. The company has completed more than 260 drill holes for 56,855 metres, with five rigs currently active as exploration extends the deposit northward and laterally to the east and west.
Recent drilling highlights include 21.6 metres at 0.42% copper, 13.7 metres at 0.51% copper and 25.0 metres at 0.38% copper. Drilling continues to define a large, near-surface sulphide copper system extending over several kilometres, with mineralisation remaining open in multiple directions. The deposit comprises a higher-grade central corridor surrounded by a broader mineralised shell, supporting potential for further growth as drilling advances.
Midnight Sun Mining’s President and CEO Al Fabbro commented, “Our drilling continues to demonstrate the scale and continuity of the Dumbwa system, which now extends at least 6.7km along strike. As we move north of the disruption zone, we are once again encountering strong copper mineralisation, including thick intervals within the higher‑grade core of the deposit.”
The company noted drilling remains relatively wide-spaced at this stage, with results continuing to sharpen its understanding of the system’s geometry and extent. The company plans to keep expanding Dumbwa, with particular focus on extending the higher-grade central corridor and further defining the broader copper footprint.
