The Sanbrado Gold project being constructed by the West African Resources in Burkina Faso is said to be moving on schedule.
West African Resources alluded that the Sanbrado project under construction is on target and is within the allocated budget.
The developer further announced that this project is set for completion next year.
The first gold pour at the mine will take place in quarter two of 2020, with production of 301 000 ounces (oz) expected in the first year.
The West African Resources has an estimated 90% in Sanbrado while the government of Burkina Faso has 10% interest in the project.
With a coverage area of 116km2, Sanbrado is about 90km East which is southeast of Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso.
It also comprises of one granted mining permit and one granted exploration license.
