Mantashe, Dixon attends PDAC

Gwede Mantashe, Minister of Mineral Resources of the Republic of South Africa and Frank Dixon Mugyenyi, Head of Minerals Unit at African Union Commission are expected to promote Africa at the annual Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) is a global premier event for the minerals and mining industry .

PDAC is a leading convention for people, companies and organisations in or connected with mineral exploration. This four day event which began on 3rd March has attracted more than 25,000 people from 135 countries.

In attendance of the conference and to speak about Key legal developments and regulatory changes in Sub-Saharan Africa is Jonathan Veeran and Manus Booysen, mining experts at Webber Wentzel.

The session which will be moderated by Ben-Schoeman Geldenhuys from Deloitte will have insights and extensive knowledge of the sector and the region.

“PDAC is a great opportunity to discuss key issues with stakeholders across the globe and to champion mining investment into Africa,”Jonathan said.

Jonathan added that countries like Namibia, Angola and Zimbabwe are creating more enticing environments to promote investment into the sector.

PDAC is an excellent platform to simultaneously engage with African governments and investors in the mining sector.
